We featured Josh's Cabernet Pfeffer (a red wine) as a wine club offering in May 2021. We stock Josh's "Spirit of the Beehive" Sparkling Wine in the store regularly. After tasting some of his other wines, we knew this needed to be a bigger thing. We want to support Hammerling in a bigger way than just the shop. So we're doing a Pip Trip to visit Josh in Berkeley, hear his history, learn his philosophy, tour his micro-winery and taste his other wines. Full-on support.

We'll meet up at the winery at 2pm and we should be done by 4pm. Like other Pip Trips this is a "drive yourself there" trip. We organize the tasting and you organize the transportation. There are too many possibilities between us and Berkeley to even think of coordinating transportation.

Hammerling is also close to Broc Cellars (some available @ Pip) and also a hop, skip & a jump to the Gourmet Ghetto (home of Chez Panisse, Cesar, Cheesboard Collective...), 4th St Shopping District, Berkeley Bowl (the more-west location), The Spanish Table and a plethora of other amazing food, wine, cultural and retail shops. A trip all inspired by Hammerling Wines. [BTW the cool, Bay Area climate is friendly to winery purchases hanging out in the car for a few hours of shopping or dining...]
