This is a "back to basics" class. We'll go over the process of tasting wine - from looking, smelling, swirling & tasting then introduce some common wine terms to describe the different properties (dry, sweet, acidic, etc). We will taste through several different wines and identify what we smell, taste & feel. The wine aroma wheel will get us started in finding the right words to use.
Why is this important?
The better (more accurately) you are able to describe a wine - AND what you like and what you don't like about it - the better recommendations you'll get from a wine steward in a wine shop & sommelier in a restaurant. You'll ultimately get more enjoyment out of your wine. More pleasure out of your wine? Most definitely.
